tuey - Dec 8, 2011 07:43:32 — Adorable but maybe a friend can get one and you can go visit it in their house ! Indoor rodents are hard to take care off and eventually die . If it ever got lose by mistake the dogs would get it if your door was open by mistake . The cleaning of the cage would get very old fast . Besides all this they are adorable .
Jonas - Dec 8, 2011 08:13:32 — My ex-wife used to work for an animal rescue facility and she often brought home animals, usually injured, that needed constant care.  One such animal was a newborn opossum.  The mother, carrying six or seven babies in her pouch, had been hit by a car.  The mother didn't survive, nor did the babies, except for one.  It was a little biggere than a kidney bean, but we nursed it and raised it.  It used to sit on my shoulder all day while I worked on the computer.  When it was big enough to explore, it did so (inside) without fear of the three or four cats that followed it around in awe and confusion.  Apparently, opposums have very bad eyesight, and I don't think this one ever saw the cats.  Sadly, as you said, she only lived a short time - maybe two or three years.  She was a strange animal, but she will always be remembered.  BTW, hedgehogs aren't rodents, they belong to the order Erinaceomorpha (no, I didn't already know that - I had to look it up).  Thanks for the comments!
aleksandr kalashnikov - Apr 5, 2012 04:21:23 — are hedgehogs spikes hard??
Jonas - Apr 6, 2012 11:44:53 — According to wikipedia.org (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedgehog), "Hedgehogs are easily recognized by their spines, which are hollow hairs made stiff with keratin.  Their spines are not poisonous or barbed..."

You got something to say about this?  (And remember what Joan Rivers said: "If you can't say something nice, let's hear it!")
