According to the American Red Cross blog posted by Gloria Huang, the American Red Cross has received an incredible amount of support from the public following the devastating earthquake in Japan and ensuing Pacific tsunami last Friday.

Emergency relief is needed right now for the mounting critical needs of the masses suffering such grave loss.  Your gift to the American Red Cross will support their disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific.  As always, the organization is grateful for your support and will channel your donations in a way that is both responsible and effective in meeting the survivors' humanitarian needs.

You can make your donations with a credit card or through PayPal.

The American Red Cross is a member of the world's largest humanitarian network, comprising the International Committee of the Red Cross and 186 Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.  As part of the global Red Cross humanitarian network of more than 13 million volunteers, the organization is uniquely positioned to manage catastrophic emergencies and provide assistance to those affected by emergencies like this enormous disaster.
